A tribute to 90's British music culture. Crocodile-effect laminate trench-coat and bombers, sequin minidress and long dress both paired to mesh slip dress and jewel buttons. The mishmash of ripped knitwear, grandpa cardigan and the combination of knit and military fabric suggest a dressing routine that entails picking up whatever is on the floor nearby.
Steven Meisel's shot, titled "Grunge&Glory" and originally published in US Vogue Dec. 1992, are the inspiration of the FW19 collection. The idea of garments as "armour" is the origin of her approach to next cold season: checked coats, oversized down jacket, floral dresses and jacquard knitwear interpret the subversive spirit of the beginning of Nineties. She referred to metamorphosis from luxury to grunge and viceversa, by showing an alternative expression of femininity, revised according her sensitivity towards the metropolitan environment.
